Stay at one of the Canyon Trail Camps for 4 Days and 4 Nights
For the first time, we’re opening our trail camps as exclusive 4 night wilderness getaways, giving your group the opportunity to make an entire camp your home for four nights.
During this time we are pausing the Canyon Trail to allow these few lucky groups to spend extended time at a single camp.
Spend your days exploring short nearby hikes, reading on your deck, photographing the canyons, birdwatching, swimming, relaxing with friends, or simply enjoying the silence that makes the Baviaans so special.
On the third day, your group will enjoy an exclusive access permit to Paradise Kloof, one of the most spectacular sections of the Baviaanskloof.

How it works
- The night before you move into your camp you can stay at the Baviaans Canyon Trail base camp at the Interpretive Center.
- The morning of your first day you move into your camp and make yourself at home. You will self-drive to the camp.
- Spend your 4 days at the camp, enjoying shorter walks into the surrounding mountains.
- On the third day of your stay you are able to spend the day in Paradise kloof. For those staying at Camp 1 or Camp 4, you will need to drive to the start of Paradise Kloof, or request a transfer with the Canyon Trail team.
- You will have use of 2 electric cool boxes, and 3 standard cool boxes
- Extra wood and ice can be ordered and delivered each day
